DVD Label and Package Design

The Chen Style Tai Chi Multimedia Studio have been designing and producing video lessons and classes since the early 1990's. Now with new videos and class materials, the studio is in the redesigning process. The imagery and photography reflect on the essence of each Form. The simple shapes and the blue tone also expresses the calm that one would sense while practicing Tai Chi.


The Inspired Cookie

Package Design

Head-chef Sarah Gill had started this delicious vegan and gluten-free line of cookies to share with the world. To reflect her down-to-earth and zen approach to her products, a pattern was created for each flavor of cookie. Inspired by henna tattoos, these colorful symbols can be seen in local cafes and grocery stores all over the Bay Area.

Environmental Message Campaign

This awareness campaign focuses on educating the public about greenwashing advertisement tactics created by cleaning product companies. The white bottles make the product brands anonymous, as the vector art imitates and exaggerates common greenwashing designs. The posters and brochure visually simulates the type of greenwashing traps one could buy into if not properly prepared with the facts while shopping for cleaning products.

Chou's Image Inc.

Identity, Print Collateral and Website

In Chinese, “Chou’s Image” is translated to “a complete image.” The company provides 3D modeling and graphic design services for engineering firms and other small businesses. The outreach materials were designed to highlight and promote Chou’s Image Inc.’s current project — The East Span Bay Bridge, in cooperation with Caltrans, California. The brochure and postcards are mailed to and handed out at networking events.

The logo is a representation of the spark that enlightens all that surrounds it, very much like the ideals of Fire Stater Productions. Their productions cover of range of genres from family to religion, focusing on the good in human relationships that are sometimes overlooked.

UC Davis Picnic Day 2008

Identity and Print Collateral

Picnic Day is UC Davis’ open house event that occurs annually. This past event opened the UCD campus to almost 100,000 visitors. The logo embodies the idea of a community joined together by different unique pieces to form one beautiful whole. The kaleidoscope image also changes by the slight touch of a hand, suggesting that our community is ever-changing and always moving forward.
